It's often been commented by instructors that I have an "electric bottom".

Sometimes it can be useful but when trying to jump my very enthusiastic horse around a course of jumps, it certainly is not.

Can anyone suggest how to de-electrify my bottom?

Is it just because I have the tendency to ride in too forward a position, or is it down to over use of my legs?

One of my friends had the same problem, i think its quite common! She had the ability to send her already hot headed horse over the top, not good!

Its probably a variety of things to be honest. Maybe ride some youngsters and then you will be able to see whats causing it and be able to make changes??

*puts hand up* I have one of those....the ability to get any horse to move, fast!

It's nothing to do with your riding position.....it's the vibes you send to the horse when you get on.
