Electric cars and towing

I’m sure threads about this are here there and everywhere but I’m looking to replace my petrol vw with an electric. The one I drive now is a golf and I’d really like one that can tow a trailer this time round. So my question is, does anyone have an electric towing car with a reasonable range and not completely out of the sky pricing? Thanks in advance?
 
Took a look at it, doesn’t fill me with much hope!! If I was just to load one thoroughbred for an hours round trip would 2000kg cap be completely nuts.
I think the general opinion is that there isn‘t a car capable of towing a horse yet unless you want to spend mega bucks plus towing would drain the battery pretty quickly
 
Agree I would recommend Hybrid unless you will only go short ranges, If so I think the Tesla Model X is your best bet. don't see how you would charge the care if you have a horse on the trailer attached whilst en route.
 
basically no.
we always used to use OH company car to tow but with going electric (no choice) we sold the trailer and got a 3.5ton.
 
Which? magazine has done an article on electric cars this issue.

Doesn't give any makes, but says that it is largely SUV electric vehicles can tow, but it will reduce the range. New try to tow using a car with no rated towing capacity.
