Electric Fence pricing costs

I am now actively looking to but electric fencing for the fat one, and I need your advice on costs.

I already have an energizer.

We are having wooden fence posts so thats - £50 for that

This is the current costs I have been quoted.

Guard Tape £21 per 200m (need 2) So £42
clip ins 75 ( bags of 25 ) £12
3 x pkt 5 end buckles ( strainers + start and end ) £6.25 each So £18.75
1 x pkt 5 corner ins £4.50
3 x 40mm gate handles £2.50 each
3 x GHi for tape £1.89 each


So £90.42 in total.


Is that about right?

Sounds about right, i get all my stuff from farmcareuk on ebay, they are the cheapest I've found and good quality too.

Two good suppliers sell on ebay, one is Farmcare which has already been mentioned & the other is Paddock Perfection. Both are reliable companies.

If you want the power to still travel along the fencing when you have a gate open then you will need some lead out cable connecting one section of fence, then travelling umderground where the gate is & nthen up & connected to the other section. Without this you will probably always have a section that is without power when you open a gate handle.
