Hi i would like to know which electric fencing thumper is the best one to get to run off a 12V battery for a small menage???? and advice and websites pls

I've always bought "Hotline" leccy fencers and they just go on forever.

I now have one attached to the mains - claims it costs £12 per year to run and covers 42km. The battery ones I found I was replacing every 3 months at £30!

A piece of advice - have the lower strip lower than crotch level. 7000v not pleasant when you straddle the fence to get through...

I use fenceman CP enegrizers and they work well.

If you can't get a mains enegizer, get yourself a car battery and buy a recharger from halfords - the small ones cost £40 and a perfect for recharging a 12v battery.
