Where's the best place to get it from?

I have a three acre field, so I'll need enough to outline the fencing with electric fencing, and enough to strip graze so will 500 metres of tape do?

How many posts will I need?

Any help appreciated

3 acres field, depending on shape, obviously, will be about 150 x 80 m, so to get round will be either 460 or 920 m of tape depending if one or 2 strands. Then there is the tape for splitting it. As to the posts, I have no idea, mine are either 8 or 4 m apart, depending if it is boundary fence, but I use wooden posts with nail on insulators and rope.

I bought STORM electric tape from ebay supplier - it was £56 for 3 rolls of the 40mm.

Every bit as good as the stuff I was expected to pay £60 for one roll at our local farm shop.

Never buy any of this stuff at an equestrian supplier - go to a farm supplier.
