Electric Ramp not working on the horsebox..any ideas?

Our ramp has stopped working on the lorry.
It is run off a seperate battery from the lorry and we have put more hydrulic oil in it. The pump is running and it sometimes goes up and sometimes doesn't.
Any ideas??

sounds like a dodgy cable from battery to ramp or battery knackered....

Would get it changed to manual if you can afford it, the motors are more hassle than they are worth sometimes or is it humungous ramp?? xx

sorry lovely, cant help you on that one - we didnt fit the hydraulic ramp on that lorry - that was a retro fit.

If the hydraulic pump is working then it is probably a mechanical fault on the drive gear between the pump drive machanism and the ramp.

This has just happened to our lorry with a hydraulic ramp it would go down but not up. The battery had died, probs worth getting the battery checked or charge it and try it then. Hope this helps
