Hey

I have the Arab Horse Society Performance Show coming up beginning of July, and I am going to do the combined training (but they are including all 3 phases like a ODE) but you can choose what level you do of each discipline, so I will do the biggest SJ and XC they have on offer which is a very scary NOT 85cm HAHA Tiger will be disgusted hahah

But they have 3 dressage tests Prelim 14, Novice 26 or Elementary 42

And as it's a AHS performance show I don't know whether to rise to the occasion and do our first elementary, and I was just wondering what Elementary 42 is like as a test, and whether it would be a good one to start with, and what it includes, he can do all things like walk to canter, leg yeild, rein back, counter canter, extending ect what does it include?!?! Is it a hard test or a nice starter

Will also mean I can use his double bridle ha ha which will give me more control than usual HAHAH

I've not done it for a while but i seem to remember it being more like a hard novice. Need to be able to do the canter-walk-canter transition but it rode fairly easily as it was off a tightish turn.

To sum up - Me and my mad tb mare made it in one piece! so it cant have been that hard.

I have just done elementary 42 and was really worried. the movements just come a bit quicker than a novice, sounds like you are more than capable. Ended 2nd with a score of 67%. I think it was a really good one to start with. Good luck, you sound very brave.

I did my first Elem last thursday, and it was Elem 42. I thought it was a nice test, I event at BE Novice so i do a bit of medium trot/canter, but it rose lovely especially as it was my first test in sitting trot!!
