Halt to trot, medium trot and canter, collected trot and canter, counter canter, leg yield, rein back, shallow loops and millions of 10m circles

oh good The Todmiester can do all those moves, bit iffy with the collected stuff at times but think we can have a bash at a test hopefully by the end of the year

Depends on the test to be honest, some of the 30+ Novices are harder than the other early 40's Elementaries. Elementary 42 is certainly a lot simpler than Novice 35! Don't forget the first halt down the centre line!

1st halt down centre line is easy.All the PC tests used have halt at start and finish and you didnt move till the Judge saluted. Can you do rising trot in Elementary or is it all sitting trot?

Rising is fine in elementary.

Don't forget the whole way of going is supposed to be a notch higher in Elem, with good direct transitions, more uphill frame etc.

glad to know I can do rising trot. Dont think my old damaged back could aborb sitting trot on a Welsh Cob medium trot.

My friends who do dressage are persuading me along with an old instructor that we are ready to do Elementary and have been doing the moves for a couple of years now.
