Elevator bridle equivalents

Does anybody know of an equivalent bridle to the elevator which is made by Jeffries? I think for some reason there is as I seem to remember reading about it somewhere but now I can't find any trace of it. I know Albion do one and there is the heritage bridle and one made by Derby House - are there anymore out there?
 
My friend has the Albion one which is lovely but at £174

it should be really, however the noseband seems to be quite small.
 
I have the Sue Carson version. £140 and lovely, I use it daily and Twiggy goes much better in it and has stopped putting her head up quite so high when I come to put it on too!
 
That makes the Sue Carson one more expensive than the Elevator presuming it's a snaffle bridle not a double?
I've got the elevator snaffle and at £120 I think it's been well worth it.
 
Oh, it must have been £120 then Ali coz it was the same price as the Elevator one as I remember! I did buy it about 9 or 10 months ago!
 
i have bought 2 heritage bridles from ebay and they really are stunning. the leather is excellent and the double cost under £70 and the snaffle about £40 i think, both elevator style
 
What sort of results have you all had with these bridles? Is it worth spending all that money - I have to say I'm very tempted, I can't find the Kate Negus one but I have requested a catalogue.
 
Well I bought the Elevator bridle at the beginning of the year (£147 and you get NO reins)

However, it's a lovely soft bridle with nice buckles and much better quality from the Stubbens I have bought in the past (at around £145). The poll area is shaped and padded and it has a crank noseband as standard. What I like about this bridle is that they will swap pieces if you have trouble with standard sizes. For example I ordered the Full Size but needed the Extra-Full size noseband and they were quite happy to just swap them over. I wouldn't say I've noticed an improvement in my horse's way of going but I never really had a problem with her, I just bought it because of the comfort element.
 
it comes with a shaped and padded head piece and the noseband strap runs over the top of the headpiece to eliminate pressure on the sensitive poll area. Whilst you can use a gel pad on the poll (if using a regular bridle) the difference of the headpiece on the elevator bridle is that it is cut/shaped back behind the ears - whereas a gel pad would not be.

It also comes with a padded crank noseband - apparently a crank noseband distributes even pressure around the nose/jaw area whereas the pressure of a flash/cavesson is more on the front of the face.

I've had Stubben bridles in the past and have found the elevator to be made of a much better quality leather.
 
I bought a Heritage one off eBay for £41 including reins, my friend bought an Elevator for £125 no reins, comparing the two there is no difference in the quality of either the leather or the design - can't honestly say whether my horse goes better in it though and can categorically state that my friends horse does NOT go any better!
