Just the above really thinking of getting a good quality one but is it worth the money? Has anyone seen an improvement at all my mare is very sensitive and thought it might help.
my horse -wb is more relaxed through the poll and makes a softer outline with one. pervesely though he is ridden in gag bits but with a normal headpiece and a gag he hates it. the elevator seems to take the edge of the gag action
Yes for me it has worked wonders on my horse! Ollie my 16hh Dutch Sports Horse was so difficult to put a bridle on head in the air, pulling back when putting ears through, it was a big problem in a plain Kieffer bridle and worse in a cheap bridle. I then thought about the Elevator...
I was sceptical but when my Ollie broke his Kieffer due to pulling back, I thought that type with noseband over not under and crank noseband might be worth a try. I bought a heritage bridle off e bay (£50) just to see if the concept worked without spending too much and yes it was remarkable, now Ollie actually lowers his head to have his bridle on and is much more relaxed when ridden, I just need to find a better bit grrr I can never stop spending
I am a convert and a new Elevator is on my must buy list after buying new sprenger stirrups and myler bit, horses hey what a money pit I have just bought a Kieffer dressage saddle... but I wouldnt be without my two!
Like Karen_Morsund, I was v sceptical, so bought a £20 Gallop version from E Bay. Cat, the horse in my avatar, was v fussy with his head, & he was a completely different horse in the comfort bridle. It made a really huge difference to him. Wouldn't ride in anything else now!! The bridle has been used daily for 3 years & it's still fine, so that was £20 well spent!
