We have been got by the elf and safety gnomes today

Basically, I work on the first floor and dogs are only allowed access via some very steep spiral stairs. Henry is not allowed to go up or down stairs at the moment so I asked for permission to carry him up the front stairs until he is better.

The elf and safety gnomes objected because if I fall down then despite the fact I am doing this as a responsible adult of my own choice and it has nothing to do with work, they say they could be liable

Their solution? Put Henry in the goods lift!

Right, so put a dog, who has recently had major surgery and has mild separation issues anyway in a dark enclosed space on his own that wobbles around and makes a loud scary noise... good plan! I didn't ask if the genius who propsed this would be willing to do this to his own dog, maybe I should have done!

SO was pondering all the way home, and finally came up with an answer....

I am going to have to transform into Paris Hilton!

I know he looks less than keen but we have been practising in the living room and he took a lot of persuading to get out when we were done

ETA: I do know how lucky I am to be able to take him into the office at all, it was the sugestion of the goods lift that riled me! This from a man who professes to be a dog lover!

I am somewhat concerned that he has decided that walking really is sooooo last year and that being carried by his human slave is the way forwards.... he really did like it in there, he didn't want to get out at all

It's just that he is pulling a face to show how childish he thinks I am and that really he is above all of this.... now perhaps you could just carry me to the kitchen human?

Thank goodness I didn't get a lab as I had planned!
