I haven't seen it but will look for it - have to say that I don't agree with her apparent hauling her horse around at the derby bank last month. I honestly didn't think she hauled it around at all....and a sulky madam doens't pat her horse on the way off the short side of the bank.
TBH I watched it, the horse set sail and would not turn to a fence, he then galloped through her hand, just making the fence and set sail to the next line of fences. The horse was being somewhat rude and ignorant, what was she supposed to do? I guess if she hadn't have taken a pull it would possibly still be going round the ring now.
If my horses take off whether at home or in a comp I would expect them to very quickly find out it is a bad thing to do!
I didn't see the class so can't comment on the original post, however i have seen Ellen riding this horse and have to say it looks a very difficult ride, i agree with Thistle, what was she supposed to do if it was being that unruly?

I do agree that all horses need "reminding" to behave sometimes but surely not after the last fence at a show and so obviously in a temper and on national TV when they are trying to lift the image of the sport.
