Ellie thinks she looks like Red Rum! Think we have a sheepskin fetish!

We must look a bit of a sight when we go out for a ride these days; aside from my bright orange, fluffy combat-patterned balaclava/head scarf, Ellie now wears:

a black sheepskin poll guard
a black sheepskin girth sleeve
a pink sheepskin saddle pad
a cream sheepskin noseband
a cream sheepskin seat saver

It wouldnt be so bad if all our sheepskin products were matching in colour, but I have got so carried away with my 'bargains'!!!!!!!

*is now thankful for only having posted a pic of Ellie's head; embarrassment of full picture may well be too much to bear!*

Just think, if I hadnt sold my Barnsby boots last year she'd have a full set of sheepskin lined boots too!!!

I'm putting it down to muck, being in season and the rug which was too hot - one of these I can change, the others I have to wait for them to pass! But we went for a lovely ride this morning, and she was very settled

She's only got it on because she had a little nick just behind her ear, and the headpiece of her bridle was rubbing it and not letting it heal! So I suppose I'm not really using it as a poll guard; more as a healing aid! But she seems to think its comfortable so I might leave it on her!
