Elmaamul?

We're off to look at a youngster by Elmaamul this weekend and I was wondering if anyone can tell me anything about him?

I've had a look at the usual google search type stuff, but it's mostly concerned (quite naturally) with his racing career and racing progeny, and whilst the youngster is full TB, he's never been raced, and he's being sold as a potential eventer. So I'm mainly interested in knowing the temperament etc. of his progeny, and if anyone knows of any that have non-racing careers?

Unfortunately I don't know the dam's line, otherwise I'd be asking about that too.

Hiya

I have a mare out of Elmaamul who is an ex-racehorse but has had a successful eventing career since then. She goes clear every time whether it is sj or xc and jumps around 1m with me without looking and has previously jumped much bigger in competing in 3 day events!!

She does have a lovely temperament on the ground but can be quite excitable when ridden! This may be because of her upbringing rather than her bloodlines as she was jumped a bit too high, too young.

I have no clue about her Dam either!!

We had a wonderful mare out of elmaamul, miss her terribly and wonder how you both got on with your horses? Her temperment was excellent, but don't disrespect her, she didn't cut any bad behaviour or (bad) farriers!!

Elmaamul was a lovely horse to look after had him 4 5 years at eagle lane and banstead great to handle in and out of the box his only fault was he worried a bit in the paddock wish all stallions were like him hes got a good horse in france muhtathir who has been a great success at stud

We have recently brought a mare sired by him. She is a fantastic girl great temperament very loving horse little bit lazy as I understand it she has run once and was no good but my daughter loves her all the same. My daughter has started jumping her she is 10 years old I have traced her pedigree on line was nice to see some history of bloodlines. Nice to see others have horses from the same dad
