I have no shame, so, to ensure the rest of you can have a good laugh, I have highlighted the most embarrassing parts of each photo ;)

Fanastic!!!!

Okay now lets remember I am 41, only started jumping last year, NOW 2 stone lighter than these pictures (cos of the pictures I went on an instant diet!!), my horse is blind in one eye (good excuse...use that for everything even though it makes no difference whatsoever to him!!!) AND he's a novice to jumping to...

Our first attempts at jumps other than poles....yes to me it was 4 foot high!!!

:D I KNOW!! I saw your piccys and they are so alike (both gorgeous!!)!! Do you have the same problems as me? See's a jump and goes into mad cob mode? No brakes, no steering and a tendancy to over jump? One thing you can guarantee whatever you put in front of him he'll jump it!! Never refuses and only pulls out if I tell him to (which I have a habit of doing..much to my instructors disgust!!). I love seeing heavy hairy cobs jumping, what they lack in style they make up for in enthusiasum!! :D

Errrrmmm, in a word... No! Yes to no brakes and certainly no steering but NO to over jumping them (*read-crashes straight through them) and pulls out at every opportunity!! She's great fun though and wouldn't swop her for the world!:)

Good on you for giving it a go. I am so chicken, if I saw daylight under a pole I would go under it ... Archie would probably go over but I would be rolling under it ;) I've never enjoyed jumping but perhaps thats to do with the fact that I close my eyes as I am approaching the blinkin' things and pray I might get to the other side intact.

I've never shown this to anyone before, as I'm just too embarrassed by it in so many ways! It is hidden on my pc at work, and it's title is 'fatbirdonahorse.jpg'!
Such a shame, as it is such a lovely one of my much missed forever horse, who I shared 20 years with and sadly lost just 2 weeks after this photo was taken.

Me too - here's a bit of an 'oops' moment with my old horse, he took a stride out & popped in a big one - I didn't :o

Ohhhh I'm in love!!! He's stunning and that's a fab picture!!! I'd be proud of that its really impressive!! Kane likes to pop big one's too..keeps me guessing when and where we are taking off from!!! Have to admit it's made me much more secure in my seat but we've had a few tumbles while learning his 'style'!! He doesn't refuse though which is a plus cos my old cob only jumped 1 out every 10 jumps...which is why I gave up!!!

Thanks, he was a real star - sadly I lost him to colic when he was only 14 but we had some amazing times together. JS would pop in little ones which sent me flying onto his neck (one time my heels clicked together above the saddle :o) as well as putting in bigs ones like in the pic. He was talented though - this was the 3 ft 7 class at the BRC champs in 2000. It would be an embarrassing pic if it'd hadn't gone a bit grainy in scanning, I look like I'm constipated, but it's a lovely one of the big guy going 'wheeee'!
