Bit of a tricky one as the mare in question isn't mine, but I am trying to help a friend come up with some options for her mare.
So a good friend of mine has a 12 (I think) year old 16h mare, she has already had a foal 4 years ago with no complications, and by all accounts was a good mum. Without going into too much detail, I would like to try and help my friend come up with a solution to her problem.
So my key question is, what is the process/protocol/requirements of putting a mare on loan to a stud type yard to be an embryo transfer recipient mare - so to be there mare to carry the foal. She seems to think this might be an option but has no idea where to start.
Thank you
