I have a lovely mare who has now been a recipient mare for two lovely embryo transfer foals. She is only 7 but cannot be ridden as she is too dangerous, so would not want her to have her own foals. She loves this job and is a really good mum, really easy to do on the ground, more like a dog than a horse, and is a good doer. My problem is that when this years foal was weaned she went off to someone else who was going to use her as a recipient this year, this person has now decided that they cannot afford to go through with the process and so I need to find another person who wants to use her. So far each year I have found someone via word of mouth but now I need to actively seek someone can anyone give me any ideas as to where I should look, post adverts etc. Thanks very much.

Thank you, her first foal was with Newcombe and East, I would prefer a 'private' home as it is easier to keep in contact and see how she is doing. I have contacted both Twemlows and Beaufort today as fall back options but neither are taking mares until april/may. Would ideally like to find somewhere for her before then.

Mine is at Twemlows too, they invited me to go and visit this year and the place is fabulous. Mares all seem very content.

They are also happy to tell me how she's doing when I ring, and are always very nice :)
