We are considering doing embryo transfer with one of our mares, has anyone had experience with Tremlows? One bit of information I can't find on their website is what happens to the recipient mares when they are confirmed in foal, do they then come out to the donor mare's owners or do they stay at Twemlows with the foal being available at weaning?

Can't help you on the mare question - why not ring Tullis Matson and have a chat. My only dealings with Twemlows have been having a mare AI'd there, getting chilled semen from them, and doing an AI course there. In every way I found them totally professional.

Hi
Ring Tullis he is lovely.
We foaled a mare for a client who had sent her PSG mare and had an embryo from her.
She sent a donor mare with her, but they wouldnt sync up so she hired a mare from Twemlows.
She came home with her and we had her in to foal. Once the foal was weaned the mare went back.
At every stage Twemlows were very proffesional.

Recently went for placement and Twemlows is fantastic. Tullis (who is awesome) is on the stallion side but will guide you to the mare side of the yard unless you wish to use a stallion through there.

I highly recommend them though as they are lovely people, professional and know their stuff! :) Good luck!

Noelle was our stud vet and AI'd Roo last year she then went to Australia for their stud season and is now at Twemlows she is highly regarded .

I can only say as I find - everyone at Twemlows is very knowledgeable and professional, but also very approachable. They have carried out a number of ET's for a friend of mine with great success. I would highly recommend them.
