This makes her achievement even more amazing

"After the competition had finished, Hindle revealed she has not had the best of preparations for the Games: “Six weeks ago I had a major operation [for ovarian cancer], so to finish so high in the placings is extra special.”

Emma, you are incredible.

I heard that in the dressage highlights last night. What an amazing achievement. She's up there with Mary King in my admiration list, now. Well done, Emma!

On Eurodressage she is quoted as saying that when she got to HK she could only ride in walk.

Amazing achievement. I just hope she's ok and they got it in time.

That is really fantastic, paired with her strength and determination, it also goes to show that horses are indeed healers, a tonic and they keep you going even through the bad times.

Wot an accomplishment! To so nearly be the highest placed Brit in dressage history six weeks after a cancer op, where wuld she ave been if she hadnt of gone through this? 3rd? 4th?

I think she had an ovarian cyst, that is not ovarian cancer. It is quite different, lots of women get ovarian cysts.
