emmmm.....whoops!

I often tell my OH things just as he's about to go to sleep or just woken up (usually that I'm doing horsey stuff and will be away all day/weekend). That way he has a vague recollection but doesn't remember until something jogs his memory. Then when I raise it again - normally as late as possible - he knows he's heard it before so doesn't complain too much!

You could say you were looking after it for a friend who is ill.Or when we had 4 bays on our yard I got another bay and no one noticed for ages. By this I mean OH the other 2 women I share the yard with knew. To the average person all Bays look the same!

Well he didn't want a divorce(we are technically not married yet tho lol)!

When he got back I told him I needed another bale of hay brought down so if he could do it now so I could give them there lunch that would be great, so off we popped down to the stables. He walked right past without noticing! Got my hay, then noticed looking slightly confused turns to me and before I would let him speak I just said this is the result of having a week off work then ran away haha!

It went alot better than I thought tbh, when he caught up with me back in the house he just told me he can't believe I just went and bought another horse and continued to tell me he was going to start charging me for all the feeding and straw!

*phew* panic over!!

Well, I think you should be really proud of him!

He can tell the difference between horses!

Marry him immediately.

I know! I think if one had gone and one came in replace of it, it would have taken a bit longer but he did take it surprisingly well!!
