Encysted redworm treatment...when?

I know this about the time of year when I should treat for encysted redworm (I am going to use Equest) - but when exactly should this be done? I seem to recall 'after the first frost' used to be suggested, Westgate Labs website (my usual source of all worming info!) says "winter" which is a bit vague....

I am moving to a new livery yard next Sunday and they have all just been wormed, so should I do now to be in synch with them?

I am planning to saliva test for tapeworm, so I guess it makes sense to do that test first then use Equest or Equest Pramox depending on the result

We say winter because it depends where you are in your programme! In reality it's too soon yet. Wait until it's cold Dec/January. Great idea to do the saliva test now though.

LOL I was hoping you would see this I'll do the tests tomorrow morning and post them tomorrow hopefully, then worm in Dec/Jan - thank you
