Just advertised Jonty after having her nearly 12 years. we have only one left of that breeding but it's time for her to give someone else some fun..
C's trainer reckons she would be ideal as a tetrathlon/XC horse so that's what we've tried. Her BE record is 4 ex 5 comps placed (she lost a shoe the last one and got time faults as a result) but she's a hot hot ride in an arena unless doing pure dressage..
She won't be easy to find a new home for but hopefully it'll happen.
Now to get some good pics of Layla and do the same for her, we just have too many horses this year..
We have a just started five year old who is languishing in the field, two four year olds to start this spring, plus a horse arriving today for breaking...Someone's going to be busy I think!
We just need some gone to leave time for them, hence the above decisions.

Naw that is a little sad, but it will be nice for Jonty to go to someone who wants to do pure xc

She is an awesome horse, reminds me very much like Bertie.
How is Layla doing too?
Vx

Layla's fine, she has been having training sessions on her with Jade Lazenby and they happily pop huge fences!
She just isn't C's favourite of the two horses, and as money dictates one has to go hence the decision.. Jacques is such an amazing ride it isn't fair to compare the two really.
Layla is showing plenty of ability and would easily BE this time, but we can't compete them all, and she is without doubt the nicest personality I've ever encountered, she deserves to be a one horse for someone, to be greeted by a sloppy kiss every time you see her is quite a privilege!
I need to take some better pics of her flatwork before I advertise her, she has come on such a lot. She should also make a decent dressage horse so I'll advertise her as such. Her knees are left with two tiny bald patches with longer hair surrounding them, black eye make-up would hide it totally I reckon..
The newly tarmaced steep lane was what caused her to slip and fall, but it interrupted her career by almost a year in the end..
We don't ever hack out that way now because of it.
Won't be long to the start of the season now will it, C re-reg Chocx yesterday and jacques... Bath and West will be our first aim if we get in.. Chocx can do the new PNN at Pontispool, he knows the course and then if he copes we will move up to Novice with him. He looks awesome already, big neck, huge bum muscles..and he's supposed to be having a holiday!!!!!

Cant wait to see him again

I totally agree about Layla.
Jaqu is a completely different horse all together. Like you say. Seriously awesome.
Is the toytown coming into work this time too?
How many horses have you got in foal this year?
Is william okay? is his leg better now?

That's a shame but at the same time good business sense. I am sure you will find a good home for her (Jonty)

Layla sounds like she could be someone's dream horse, you MUST put in the advert that she loves to love, that'll sell her alone!

I think C is going to do just fine this year, I too am aiming to start at Bath & West but not even registered yet

Hello BB's, well only one hannovarian x TB mare in foal, we decided after the last two years to rest them all.
The Toytown double will be four this time so ready to start..He is ginormous already. We have a Jonty relative who will be four too, so that needs breaking.
Williams' latest blood tests show he is fine in all of them, so we just cross our fingers and keep him wrapped up well! He whacked his hock the other day which panicked us all, but the vet says he is ok..
He is so tall now like a weed, and loves his stable, every morning this little head covered in shavings appears over his door, he lies with the bank as a pillow....
Most of the foals from last year have gone off to nice new homes, the last goes in Spring, Venus went last Sunday, we have decided to keep Callisto and Oberon until four year olds as both look very nice. Galaxy is huge and will also stay with us.
It should be a lot easier with the new stabling, having everything under cover will save lots of time. It won't be finished for months however, as the tackroom has to have steel sheets between every wall and the roof, plus a good alarm system.
I'm already being driven mad by the new system which goes bee-bop every time anyone walks about.. At least it will let us know when to run out armed and with the dogs.. (Harryhorn will lick them to death...)

It's a nightmare deciding who should go and who should stay but you can't do better than go with the 'I like him/her so we'll keep that one and sell the others' as far as I can see. None of us can read the future (whatever the clairvoyants say).
Good luck with the sales.

I like your advert! lol Love the first pic

sorry to hear that you are selling her. Will ask around here if anyone needs a horse as i also do tetrathlon (but not that competitvly - go for the xc and the craic! ) but my some of my friends are REALLY into it so will see!
