Today we waved a fond goodbye to our 44 year old Shetland pony. She had been struggling with her knees for most of the summer but still went out and beat up the boys - yesterday she came in from the field and gave us a look ... it said I’ve had enough... this morning she went peacefully in her stable ... to think she was born in ‘76 has been driven, taught god knows how many kids to ride and been loved by many families before somehow spending her last 10 years with us after being willed to us ... She was the kindest gentlest girl you ever could have met ... Girl, you and your antics will be missed greatly but now you have new knees ... give em hell girl.A51DFD9C-3507-44A0-A5E7-92B2F3498CC2.jpeg

Oh wow - that is amazing reaching 44 years of age. What a wonderful little pony that lived a wonderful life.

I hope the has a full blown gallop across those lush fields over the rainbow bridge.

RIP you wonderful old girl.

Bless her, what an age to reach, and what a little sweetheart she looked.

I hope you aren't too sad, you gave her a great life.
