The pony in the first link could do with a bit more top line on. Id say it was in poor condition for a mini Shetland. It has a pot belly and nothing else. Not one single pony in the second link is a Shetland. Welsh and cross breeds but no Shetlands.
I assumed the top one wasn't in proper work. When you say poor do you actually as in underweight or just lacking muscle tone? To me it didn't look underweight (was thinking of it as an example of something that was a non SPGN type but also not chubby) so it is interesting to hear an expert opinion.
You shall have to blame my technical (as well Shetland) ignorance for the second link - I was looking at the pony on the right under where it says Houston Farm Riding School but you're right the link is to the whole page (and probably right that I've misidentified the breed too!)
