Hi

Anyone on here who regularly rides with EGB? I have just registered for their try before you scheme and was just wondering if you had any useful tips or info for me regarding their rides?

I currently ride with Sport Endurance.

Hi,

I've never done Sport Endurance but I imagine the rides will feel pretty similar. Just go through all the paperwork well, it usually tells you all you need to know in the ride information IME. I think the rules are on the egb website but if you want to take a look at a handbook, we're in the same sort of area, you're welcome to have a look at mine.

You'll find it much the same - endurance people are just as friendly the world over

The main difference is that at the lower distances in EGB and SERC you will only be competing against yourself rather than against other people. Otherwise, it's just the same - you turn up, get your bib, fill in your vet sheet, get vetted, go have a nice ride, come back, get vetted, hopefully pick up your rosette

Having competed and been members of both, the main difference is that at lower levels in EGB you get a grading rather then a placing, so it does tend to stop pot hunter types that can happen in SE
