"In 2008, the World Endurance Championships are to take place in Malaysia.

Many top Australian endurance horses have been sold overseas.

Here is a thread on the Australian Cyberhorse forum which exposes the conditions under which some former and prospective top Australian endurance horses live and die in Malaysia.

Do NOT open if you are easily upset. The pictures are heart-breaking - simply HORRIBLE.

That is absolutely awful. I think death was the kindest thing for that palomino, as would it be for those other horses pictured, imo. What a waste.

ETA - Oh god, the pictures further down made me cry. RIP.

I put a post up about this in the New Lounge, I have emailed the Malaysian tourist board to tell them how cruel and revolting it is and that I shall NEVER visit their country as long as this goes on. It is sick.

How horrific. I dont understand - they are bought in good condition as top endurance horses but then are left to die in Malaysia?! Why?

Those poor beautiful horses, it is incredible that this kind of thing is allowed to go on quite frankly, those animals, like any other deserve proper care, poor animals

I have received a positive response from the Malaysian Equine Council. They are 'frustrated' but commited to continue campaigning for these horses.
