Hi! I recently moved to a livery in Radcliffe-on-Trent, and I'm looking for someone to ride with on my first few competitions this year.

There's an event being held at Sherwood Pines on the 17th of March, where I only want to do the 16km trail, but I'd really like to find someone else who'd be interested in riding the same course, or just for tackling some longer rides with us in general. There's a pretty extensive toll ride, which is quite easy for anyone in the Radcliffe area to access, but at this point there isn't anyone else on my yard who wants to ride longer distances!

I'm in south notts too and will be doing Sherwood Pines I think. You're welcome to ride with me and the others ill be meeting up with? I'm really interested in doing longer rides this year with my cobs . Pm me if you fancy meeting up :)

Aww! All the excitement happens in North Notts!

I can only arrange transport for event dates at the moment, otherwise we could manage something. Do you think you might be able to make it over to Sherwood Pines in March? :)

If you go on the EGB website, then look on local groups, you will come up with their website & contacts. Many groups do buddy system, where you can ride with an experienced competitor (doing same class as you). Great way to pick their brains & get some tips.

I've entered Major Oak so many times and have never actually ridden it yet! I have all these intentions of getting ponies fit by then and I've never done it. You never know, maybe this year..... If we did, we'd be doing the 16km too, fairly steady like.

You do have to enter Major Oak pretty quickly as it books up fast - it's very popular.
