Energizer for battery in the field

Hi, I'm really struggling to buy/ find anywhere that sells a battery energizer. I need it to put in the field for the battery to make the electric in the fencing in my field a little stronger. I have bought the battery just cant seem to be able to get hold of an energizer from anywhere.

Could anyone please advise the best place to get one from? The electric needs more of a zap in it to stop the mare in the field next door getting over the fencing to get in with my mare. They already share a field but we had to split it with fencing as the other mare is very dominate over mine and double barrels, rears and chases her off if I go down to fetch her in first. So we figured if the electric had a bit of a zap in it (as it doesnt have any at all) then she would hopefully stay in her own field.

Have I missed something? You just want an energiser that runs off a battery rather than one that runs off the mains?

I bought mine from farmecareuk.co.uk but there are thousands of places selling such a common item. robinsons, rideaway, derby house, mole valley, even ebay. these are just places I know sell them off the top of my head. Have you tried google? Just put in electric fencing....,

Hi, thanks, I have googled it and all that comes up is rechargable batteries lol. The same with Ebay. Never thought of Robinsons, will try them.

I think you are a little confused. You say you want an energiser to give your electric fence more zap. Do you realise it will not work at ALL, without an energiser ? The strength of the zap will come down to how good your tape is - is it crappy and old, with lots of joints that have tied together rather than using the proper little metal buckle joints. Also the power of the energiser, a tiny one will only power a shorter length of tape. And finally, the power of the battery you are using, if your battery has gone flat, obviously the whole thing will be useless.

If there are bushes or long grass touching the tape, it will earth the electric zap too. Ebay sells loads and loads of energisers.

I use Hotline energisers mainly, recommended by my local electric fenceman I find them really effective and not silly money.

What kind of energiser do you have now?? You must have one to get at least alittle zap from your fence?? It maybe that your energiser is just not strong enough for the length of fence you have..Sorry just alittle confused??
