Looking for advice for a feed for slow release energy, nothing that will make my boy fizzy. Jst looking for a bit of extra oomph. Added bonus if it's thunderbrooks or similar kind of brand .

Is your horse like this all the time or just a tthis time of year? You might find his lethargy is due to his coat changing.

If he is like it all year, I'd start off by adding good old oats x

Probs most of the year, but the more time he spends in the field the sleepier he gets lol xx

If he’s like this most year round as you say, if he’s not on a mineral balancer aside from grass/hay intake, i’d start there, before adding overt oompf foods.
Many minerals are required for the making of ATP energy molecules, and excreting the metabolites. The system will slow down if there’s a nutritional shortage.
Horses on the same paddocks/lands all year round do not get the mineral range wild roaming horses have access to.
Bridging the nutritional shortfall of grass/hay theyre on with an adequate mineral/vit balancer is required.
My own horses mud fever, hoof growth, hair quality, gut health, behaviourally more balanced, all cured/improved when i started adding minerals commonly lacking in grass/hay.

Good idea, I've ordered 365 complete so will give that a month n see how wee go

Is that grass related?

Both my cobs need additional protein during coat change season otherwise they get sluggish.
No don't think so we don't have much grass at the moment so he's out with a bale. He's a big baby so think he spends alot of time playing then when it comes to work he can't be bothered.

I'd say go for a vitamin/mineral balancer first and see where that gets you - if you find he is lacking still, maybe a small handful of oats to help give him a bit of oomph or some linseed perhaps? :)
