Energy supplements - advice please

I normally mix oats into my hard feed to give extra energy instead of using a full on competition mix, but wondered whether I could use something like Propell Plus/Red Cell/NAF EnerG instead. Is this what these supplements are designed for and does anyone else use them longer term like this?
 
if on comp mix and fit then why lacking ooomph? have you run his bloods? red cell/liquid blood/equisup do give them a boost but i would check basics first if this lack of energy is a "new" thing. its a fitness thing, calories in versus calories out and whether bloods are good, if RBC is normal or if WBC is high etc liver function ? ? you can use red cell etc long term but expensive, best kept as a boost here and there
