English Bridles - worth the money?

Hi - I am thinking of treating my mare to a new bridle after Christmas. I am looking at the English Bridle website and think they look smashing. But at £100 a pop I wonder if you guys think they are worth the money or if you have a better recommendation please?

English bridles are definately worth the money.If you look after them, keep them clean & polished they will last you a lifetime. Contact the saddler below, she makes bridles & you won't find better leather, quality of workmanship & the price is cheaper than you would think, you'll be surprised.

I literally received mine yesterday-I am over the moon with mine :)

I bought my first ever brand new leather saddle in August and have been dithering over which bridle to get to complement it, as before I'd had nivce but not 'very' nice bridles. Leather is gorgeous, you can tell its quality just by looking at it. My only regret is I didn't order any reins at the same time! I looked at a few others, Albion etc but for the money I would say these are more than worth it. I went for the comfort bridle and the fit was also brilliant.
 
Yes, definitely.
You get, in effect, made to measure (by using their measuring scheme). They are excellent quality and the customer service is great.
 
Good quality leather is expensive to make and a well made bridle isn't a quick and easy thing to make. My mum was a saddler for a while. I tend to buy snowhill bridles at work (about £20 a pop trade) and you can tell. Nothing fits in the keepers, the leather goes 'bobbly' and I had one hell of a fall when a rein snapped on a young horse I was riding because of bad stitching where the leather and rubber join. Honestly cheap leather snaps all the time... if you can afford it... avoid cheap rubbish especially where your safety is concerned!!
 
I have had the same sabre bridle for eight years. It cost me £100. That's just over £12 a year , I use it everyday and it still shines up beuatifully for showing. I don't see myself having to replace it any time soon. Good investment IMHO :)
