I'm looking for a nice soft, good quality black English leather cob size bridle with a cavesson noseband. What do people recommend please?

It depends how much you want to pay. Jeffries is very very good but very very expensive. Native Pony Bridles from Kate Hampton will make them to measure or you can buy off the peg/mic and match to make sure your horse gets the best fit.

English Bridles are a great company, I've several of their products, beautifully soft and clean up like new

Townfields own brand, proper sedgewick leather and about £60 for a bridle, extra for reins but not a huge amount, wide range of sizes too, more than is on the website if you call them they very helpful

I had some reins from evision (two pairs from olympia) that the stitching went on really quickly, they were very good about it though and I returned for a refund.

I do like my jeffries traditional but that isn't black ;). I've had rubbish nylon cored stirrup leathers from them but still like the bridlework.

Me too... Definitely recommend :)

Me three! I've got the flat padded bridle (nice alternative to a plain cavesson) and it's great. Cleans up like new every time, hardly any signs of wear from daily use. I've had mine for coming up 3 years now. Love it.
