Unfortunately now as winter is coming around our horses have had to come in. Which means although i try to get him out for at least 3 hours a day, he is stabled the rest of the time. Whilst not ideal, its all i can get for now so please dont shoot me down for not being on a yard with all year turn out!!
So, while hes in, poor lad is bored, and so I need some ways of entertaining him, such as toys and things. All suggestions welcome!!

How about likits? Although, mine is scared of all stable toy type things, so I give her turnips to munch on

. Some of the other owners give theirs those toys that you put pony nuts in, they spend hours kicking them around the stable, and annoys the other horses I'm sure cos they're quite noisy!

Hope you find something.

Have you thought about walks out in hand to minimise the time he is stabled. I don't know if that is an option. Also a stable mirror could be a good idea or ,feed balls that can be filled with some pony nuts that he will have to move around to get the nuts out .Just a few suggestions!

Hi,

I went to the local charity shops and brought lots of sturdy looking todlers toys, the kind with spinny things that make fun noises, squeaks and clicks and stuff and tied them in their stables, my babies play with them and love them, although they are very noisy so might annoy people!!

Make sure there tough toys though, no bits that in any way might fall off!!!

The ball things that you put food in, they have a hole so as neddy pushes it about the food falls out. Keeps our baby busy (for a while anyway)

I thought about this, could i buy a cheap sack of nuts and stick a handful in? coz i feed him a stud balancer, i want him to get all of that in him and not risk some of it going in his bed, as he kicks shavings around for fun
