Cecil is a very active busy little dog. For the most of it good walks, poo picking the field, being out and about, I let him spend ages snuffling round works well.
Sometimes though it’s like he just needs his off switch flicked.
I have various puzzle type toys but he’s so fast at working them out! The other two dogs have no idea, get bored and give up, he’s mastered everything easily in no time.
I have a kong and lick mat which he loves and do the job but I feel like everything involves food!
Any keeping him busy ideas, especially ones that don’t involve food please?

Nb, he’s not naughty and I’m not complaining, I love his personality I just want more ideas to interest him as he seems to enjoy figuring stuff out.

Teach him to speak using the bells, i have seen it on you tube, my friend taught her chihuahua to use them ? she calls her a witch if she doesn’t get her own way lol.

If my dog wasnt deaf , I woulda used them ?
Ohh he speaks ?? it’s an amazing speak, not a cry or a howl or a bark but something if his very own!
I’ll have a look, thank you!

If you search for 'brain training for dogs' on Amazon (or elsewhere) quite a few books come up with ideas for games and puzzles for dogs.

Someone gave me this one for Christmas a few years ago, the ideas aren't very complicated but it is a good starting point; the puzzles/games can all be made using household items (or things cheap to buy):
