I have had Isobel out to my horses a handful of times over the years and can vouch for her accuracy. She has helped us through a number of issues, and a genuinely lovely lady too :)

The only thing that makes me cynical is the 7 and 3 thing, that you've interpreted as relating to months and weeks, but surely a horse has no concept of our calendars to be able to measure time like we do. Obviously mother nature makes tham aware of the seasons etc (must be dead confusing with our summers!!) but they don't know how we divide the weeks/months up.
I definately think their are all sorts of people out there to take advantage of us when we're vulnerable, but there are also those that genuinely want to help and if their methods, no matter how unconventional help, then it can't do any harm. I wish you luck with finding the key to your horse.

RE how they (we :o) receive information; I guess the most simple way to describe it would be psychic. I like to work from a photograph, other people in front of the horse, others from a lock of mane or piece of tack. We all do variations on the same process, which is to clear our minds and allow information to come to us. Quite how it does, I don't know, but I mainly "see" images like photos or videos showing me what is going on, or I hear a voice talking to me, or feel physical symptoms in my body. A friend who was on the same workshop as me got very upset because the first time she communicated with a horse she didn't know she had this strong taste of blood in her mouth - and without going into too much detail, the horse's owner clarified that the horse would have been tasting blood :(

Regarding numbers, my theory is that there is the information at the horse's end, the information at mine, and somehow in the middle it gets converted into a form that the other party understands, a bit like a language translator. Therefore perhaps the horse didn't think in numbers, but the numbers were something the OP could identify with. Same with language, when I hear from a certain horse she sounds like she has a terribly whingy tweenies type of voice, and I'm pretty sure that's not reality but her owner says it describes her personality and what her voice would sound like if she had one.

Sceptics are a skeptics be, if its not your cup of tea that's fine. Your second paragraph is however a gross generalisation, and not how many of us operate - there have been people on this forum who have had communications from various sources, and if they didn't find that the communicator had been accurate they have had refunds.

For those who are getting lotions and potions, please remember that nobody but a vet is legally allowed to prescribe medicine for an animal. A herbalist or an aromatherapist can advise you on what they would recommend you buy and treat your own animal with, but they should not be selling you things. Please be careful, there are charlatans in ALL walks of equestrianism.
 
I emailed half a dozen and asked them about money back should they not get any results and they all said no. I have posted many times on here saying I am willing to believe just prove it to me. Animal communicators, if you can do this then tell me something about my horse that you could not know from another source. If you can do this then i would pay for full readings no hesitation. Odd that no one has taken up my offer no?

Well I am pretty sure the AC I used would be able to do that. There is no way she could have looked up any information about my horse on the internet, as I have not discussed her problems on any forums. She was extremely accurate about circumstances that had only happened the day before the reading, so after I had emailed the questions to her.

It cost me £10 to ask three questions, and I really was amazed with the results. She wrote a paragraph for each question with a lot of detail, when she could have just answered with a yes or no. (And no I'm not on commission!!)

I have been very sceptical about readings in the past as they have been extremely general and I almost had to dig deep to find something meaningful - but this experience was extremely different.
 
I'd love one to come out and see my mare but one that has been recomended to me is about £150 and I can't spare that at the moment.

Does anyone know if this can be done for a horse that has recently passed? My mares autopsy resents are inconclusive and I want some questions as to what happened to her and wondered if this could be a possibility to try and find some answers
 
We had an AC out on Wednesday to five of the horses. She was amazing and picked up on all kinds of things she couldn't possibly have known. She was really specific. My mare told her my Mum was having heart palpitations (she loves my Mum), and my Mum had just had them that morning! She also said there had been a man who lives here coughing for months. My 18 year old son has a chronic cough. Another of the horses described her owner and her Mum having a conversation about having to get a female relative to the hospital who wore glasses as she was very ill and having to rush off. She had had to rush her sister to hospital only a few weeks before. She told me my mare had tingling in her feet, especially her hinds. She was suffering a low grade bout of laminitis at the time but you couldn't tell in her stable. I thought the pain was only in her fronts, but when I checked her hinds for pulses later on, they were bounding!

Sadly, she told me not to try riding my gelding any more as even though he was not in any pain, and it was all in his head, his issues were too deep and he was therefore unpredictable and it would be dangerous. :( She also told me he said I was talking about swapping him with another horse. Only that week my sister had suggested he went to hers for a holiday and she sent me her QH to school in his place.

Those were just a few specific examples. Other things were too personal and about others, so wouldn't want to post them here.

I occasionally do little experiments in order to attempt to form some opinion, either way, about ACs. I have had my horse for a very long time and know pretty much what there is to know about her, so when I find an AC who is not ridiculously expensive, I have asked them for a reading and I am in a good position to determine how accurate it is. The results vary from accurate in a vague way to complete baloney. No one has given me any *specific* information about my horse. The information that somewhat reflected reality had a certain amount of ambiguity and generality about it. It could arguably describe a lot of horses, not just mine. What was interesting was that the descriptions they had of my horse, while true of a lot of horses, are very strong, defining aspects of my horse's character; i.e. she cares a great deal about keeping her rider on board and having a set routine of feed, turn-out, etc. each day is very important to her. The AC picked up that I had the horse for a long time. I had not given any indications of her age or how long I had her. For all the AC knew, I could have bought her last month. However, this was balanced out by information within the same reading that was totally incorrect; i.e. my horse having had a foal (she hasn't) and how much she misses our three-day eventing career (what three day eventing career? she has been a dressage horse from the day I bought her).

So the jury remains out. If any ACs on here wish to try their hand and add to my data pool, I would be very curious to see how their results fit in. It really does interest me, comparing readings and seeing if there's any reliability across different readings. :)
 
Thanks for posting OP. I do find this stuff so fascinating. I am very willing to believe there is something there - although i find it hard to see how it works via emails and photos etc. I would love to have an AC to see mine, but never worked out how to find a good one. Since you have had the AC out, seems sensible to follow any ideas / suggestions that she left with you and hope it works. Good luck!
