my 9 yr old shih tsu was diagnosed with epilepsy 2 months ago after suffering a fit at home that was horrid
he was given medication - no more fits but his appetite totally went
the vet put him in steroids 2 weeks ago and they worked brilliantly - it was so goods to see, he ate like he hadnt in a long time
but today - no - he seems fine, is drinking and alert but ive cooked him chicken (removed all teh bones) and hes just not interested - last night was same, i cooke dhim liver and threw it out this morning
Im ringing the vet tomorrow but i just wondered if any of you had any experience of this?
thing is - the vet said to offer him his food, if he doesnt eat it straight away throw it out. How can i do that and let him sleep all night with no food available - it may be the heat ?????
