OK, so I know about this diet and the need to feed Vit E and Selenium with Oil levels over 250mls, BUT, I was wondering what supplement people use for this. I have been using Selenavite E, but was wondering about others. Thank you!

Hey, thank you!! She's actually not an EPSM horse, but is on high levels of oil to help maintain her weight, and this won't drop until after weaning! It's the only thing I will be able to feed her till her milk has dried up, along with HiFi Lite and SB - only fibre after all. Selenavite E is a general Vit/Min supplement too, but I think it's quite expensive - £14 for 1.5 kgs!

ExSelenium Oil - A balanced oil which combines the correct level of omega 3 & 6 with the correct balanced levels of Vitamin E and Selenium - It doesn't matter whether you feed a "glug" or recommended "feed" levels - it's still balanced!

Looks great and would solve issues of needing to add oil and supplements but sadly with my boy having 700ml of oil a day I'd be bankrupt in no time! I use D and H soya oil 20litre drums at £20.50 which will last me a month and supplement with scientific nutririon pharmaceuticals 'Performance hore supplement' which costs me £22.99 for a 4kg tub which last me around 2 months. So far the best I can come up with and still get him to eat!

TopSpec balancer and alfa a oil and speedibeet as a diet on elderly pony who had a very mild attack caused by too much sugar in his diet (was on mollichaff and baileys topline cubes for 10 days which we think caused it). The balancer can seem expensive but it should have all the supplements you'll need.
