Just been reading some old threads re the above as one of my boys is showing symptoms. The vet came yesterday, and is coming for half a day next week to do nerve blocks, x-rays and acupuncture. She noted that he had soreness and swelling just below the sacroilliac joint and he is very stiff on both offside fore and hind. The raised area of soreness is where the nerve endings are in relation to his o/s hind.
Fred is a recovering laminitic (clean for 3 years
), so my question is - will the high oil diet be any good for him. He is quite a fat boy and cannot be exercised at the moment.
