Can anyone give me some insight into these?

I'm a bit sceptical. They sound too good to be true which usually means they are. They have backing from a lot of big names though, who I know are probably paid to say it.

Can't find any scientific evidence for it, is there any that I just can't find? I want to help my horse out as much as I can, he's getting all drugs necessary, vets, physio when required etc. But anything additionally is a bonus in my eyes. The vet said he has windfalls unsurprisingly really and it says these help those but do they?

I kind of want to try, but my head keeps going if it was that good, why aren't these being used on people more, in hospitals etc? They have a product for people, but it doesn't seem to have been tested.

Any ideas or are there better products I could use for him? He's been diagnosed with chondromalacia in both stifles. He's getting medicated on both in a few weeks and steroids and then from August doing hacking every day for 3 months, walking only. All of those will be done of course but anything additional is appreciated. I want him to be happy and not sore anymore.

Thanks ☺️

I think it is a bit of a placebo thing, but i have never tried it myself. I too am too skeptical to part with that much money for a placebo. That being said, my physio uses a magnetic thinger on the horses and they genuinely feel it cause you can see them "release" or zone out so SOMETHING is happening but i know thats not exactly what equ does.

There's a reason for that...

Good luck getting your horse sorted - you'd be better re-routing the money you'd spend on a glorified rubber band to your vet, or possibly some good audiobooks to get you through the long walking rehab ;)

this. don't waste your money.

Both my horses have been wearing a band for a week. No real difference but I'll let you know if there are any changes.

Another horse on yard has one from pulse magnets (I think that's the right name) which isuch cheaper if you wanted to try it.

Seem to recall there are several threads on here about this product and, more specifically, about the company promoting it.

Can’t help with this but saw on the WP thread that your boy was back from surgery. I hope it all goes well, best of luck.

There's no scientific anything really on them - the company say that this is because it is prohibitively expensive and time consuming, but the cynical view is that its because they don't work and there is no scientific basis for them.

As with all these things, you pays your money, you takes your chance. They are unlikely to do any harm, but just to invest too much emotionally in them being miraculous.

Good luck with your boy's rehab - physical exercise therapy can have remarkable results on its own

Thanks. ☺️ I'm sure the walking will help him, it was just additional stuff I was looking at to help. The vet said I can try if I want but she's seen no evidence of them working. Still not gonna bother it's a lot of money to spend on something that might not work.

They're twaddle and do nothing. I knew a surf rep for one of these companies and even he agreed (privately) that they did nothing.
