Just thinking about buying this now as we have had the cold spell, but supply issues due to packaging have come up on my regular supplier. This is my horses annual regular for tape and encrusted, so needs to be done. Anyone else finding this?

Wer have just administered ours. Ordered in the bit between Xmas and new year. Delivered on 2nd Jan from hyperdrug. Just looked and they are now showing as unavailable!

Are supplies of plain Equest (green box, moxidectin only) affected? It’s the moxidectin that is best given this time of year for encysted redworm, so Equest is good.

Equest Pramox (blue box) is moxidectin + praziquantel. The praziquantel is for tapeworm.
I never give Equest Pramox to anything, far too many nasty adverse reactions, but I do give plain Equest.

I've gone sepaerate. I gave Equimax last month for tape worm- I dont bother doing the equisal as I know we are a really high area for tapes so just worm anyway in winter. Then I have just ordered Equest for enysted red to give when it arrives.
I don't use Pramox as I've heard too much nastiness about it, One of the ponies I'm worming is 38 and tiny so not worth the risk imo.

Ambers been tested and needs it so I got one from Pet Drugs online over the weekend and its still showing as in stock. It's more expensive than other suppliers though.

I’m another who won’t use Pramox as one of mine likes to colic given the opportunity. I tried to order Equest from the vet today so in theory should be able to collect it tomorrow but the receptionist didn’t really understand as to why I only wanted Equest or what/when or why you test at different times for different worms. I had to explain encysted red worm now, tape if needed in 12 weeks and the test she was trying to get me to give them wouldn’t show the encysted up anyway. It was an exhausting conversation.
