Equest Wormer- Powder/Tablet form?

YO is looking for this wormer ideally in powder/tablet form as we have a pony who is absulutely appauling to be wormed (has to be sedated) so looking for something to give him, he is given strongip p in granule form and equimax in the tablet form. This is the only one where we haven't found an alternative

could you not just put the normal wormer in a feed or some treacle pieces?

Or use one of the Easy Wormer bits? Sedation for worming sounds pretty extreme TBH.

allready tried, I know its extreme but you havent met the horse. He is obviously had very bad experiences with worming in the past. He is an extreme case hence the sedation!

Equimax now come in tablet form. They are like a tube of 8 tablets (one per 100Kg bodyweight) and are apparently apple flavoured. I know hyperdrug sell them.

I always give my wormers mixed in the feed and add extra carrots, apples and speedibeet so it is a special very tasty feed - all gone and no hassles.

I had one slightly fussy mare, so hers was mixed with some black treacle and I also put in some polos to make the feed one that she could not resist tucking into.

When you are 5' and your horses 17 hands, this is so much easier. Does work doing it this way - mine have clear worm counts. As long as the feed is gone, the wormer is in and far less stressful than struggling with a syringe.
