I like it to keep track of symmetry. A couple of years ago we had an occasional blip one way (she looked totally sound) and she ended up doing a suspensory on that side. Not 100% related but possibly something was niggling before she did the injury. I use it now to keep an eye in case any pattern like that comes up again and for my peace of mind!

Must say though - a friend works in gait analysis for humans and her company has moved into horses in the last couple of years. They use loads of sensors on each leg and she rolled her eyes at the idea that a clip on your saddle can produce the same level of data!

I have had issues in the past with it not connecting reliably, and I need to remember to charge it (there is no off button to save power!). Some days it drives me mad and I think it's more hassle than it's worth, other days I love it! If I just wanted transitions and time spent in each gait I'd just use Equilab which id free.
