Equestrian "brands"?

Hi all,

Bit of a strange one but what are good well know brands in the equestrian world? Got my partner a chestnut mare for xmas, and that's me skinned, but she's moaning about not having any riding gear, she always wears my rugby hoody so was going to pick her up a hoody or a jacket but I haven't the foggiest as to what brands are well know that she will know and appreciate? Some girl had a hoody from a race yard or a race team on the other day but I can't for the life of me remember the make! Any suggestions, makes, links will be massively appreciated!

I wear a lot of joules, musto, mountain horse, pikeur and Caldene. I also have my eye on a few thinks from lansdown polo club, they have a sale on some of their stuff at the moment!

I wear a lot of Horseware, Joules, Ariat, Toggi, Tottie, Mark Todd... plus my fancy stuff which is Kingsland, Pikeur.

Google search Rideaway, Robinsons, Equestrian Clearance, they offer lots of horsy brand clothing for not too expensive.

I never wear horsey brands, or rarely anyway, they are far too expensive! For riding in of course I have breeches which are horsey branded (I like Dublin and actually, my Shires cheapy full seat breeches are my most fave pair), but otherwise I just wear t-shirts and jumpers/ hoodies from Primark! they only end up smelling of horse pee anyway, so I didn't fancy spending a fortune on Joules stuff for that to happen! I quite like the Rydale stuff for mid-range and price riding gear, though it's rather brightly coloured.

Also try Aldi and Lidl, they often have horsey stuff in. Aldi have riding t-shirts in ATM which are OK.

I don't wear brands, far too expensive. You can find stuff much cheaper elsewhere, sports shops etc that do the job without the equestrian price tag!
Don't fall for all the advertising!

Yes but I like my designer clothes anyway... so why would I not wear nice horsy gear! When it comes to base layers etc I agree, but my gilets/hoodies/jumpers/polos are all horsy brands... except the Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger polos which I also use for the horses...

This is it, we both wear a lot of branded stuff outside of they horsey world (not sure I can class myself in that world yet - still getting over everyone knowing everyone!)She does wear some old clothes to stick on over her work clothes when she goes down at dinner, but I know she'd like to have a decent branded hoodie just for wearing for all kinds of stuff really, not even riding or mucking out just general apparel!

The only branded stuff I have is base layers! I have a lovely Rapha (cycling brand) merino wool base layer which is incredible. Funnily enough I love my branded cycling gear, but maybe because for me it is more performance stuff than the horsey stuff.

If you want a posh brand, try Pikeur or Kingsland, something more sporty go for Joules orMountain Horse or Horseware or Ariat. I do wear my Ariat jumper to go out during the day quite regularly, and my two Horseware gilets.

My base layers are rowing ones... lovely and warm but let the heat out quick. Most of mine are old club rowing ones, but have a couple of cheap running ones for emergencies I agree about performance though, I always choose my old rowing gear for under layers as better performance, also use my old splash jacket for riding in... but they are JL and Crew Room etc so not exactly unbranded...
