After HHO's fantastic suggestions for horse stopover points on the way up to Scotland a month ago, does anyone know of any equestrian centres or livery yards close to one of the M25 junctions on the NW of London, between Junction 15 and Junction 27?

Fiona Price of HorseHero is competing in the Endurance National Championships in Suffolk this weekend and she is travelling up from Somerset on Thursday, and would like to break the journey for Taz, her mega-pony, somewhere around the M25. She just needs somewhere safe to unload Taz for half an hour, lead him round to stretch his legs and encourage him to graze/drink/pee etc. An equestrian centre car park would be ideal, as close to a motorway junction as possible.

Does anyone who knows or competes in the area have any suggestions for a venue? I would give them a call to check it is OK and Fiona gives a free HorseHero subscription to kind YOs!

Woodredon is a riding stables and livery yard one mile from Junction 27, on the A121 heading towards Epping but down a nice side road.

I think they are user friendly in that people pay to park their lorries there to ride in Epping Forest.

Or she could break the journey and stay the night with me if she wants! It would involve a slight change of route but not out of the way.

I may be wrong but I think Forest Edge livery yard closed down and was made into houses?

ETA: the second link from Hoopsa above shows Woodredon to the left of Forest Edge on that Google map - quite handy!

You are all brilliant - thank you!
Will try Patchetts first, then I may PM you, Duck Toller! No overnight required, but are you at home between 12 noon and 1pm tomorrow for a half-hour stopoff?
