As the title really. My friend lives and works in Glasgow, has a very busy job but would love to get back into riding.

Does anyone know of anywhere good in or near the city?

Ingliston Equestrian Centre/country club in Bishopton. Bout 30min from city centre. Lovely big indoor so don't get wet :)

No idea what horses/instructors are like sorry

Also off top of my head- Tannoch in Cumbernauld, Busby, Hazeldean in Mearns

I'm originally from just outside of Glasgow and went to uni in Glasgow - I was part of our uni riding team for a few years and we used Tannoch stables in Cumbernauld for training/competitions...about 20/30mins drive from West End of Glasgow. Quite a busy and vibrant yard, some good hacking locally, indoor/outdoor schools and lots going on in terms of comps etc that school horses can be borrowed for. I also seem to remember them getting set up to stable some of the strathclyde police horses but that was a while ago. Dawn (the owner) was our instructor and she really understood how to teach us as a uni riding team who needed to be able to get on almost anything and get the best possible tune out of it within a few minutes for basic dressage and jumping to c.2'9...I learned valuable lessons from her that I still use to this day :D
