Has anyone ever bought any Dublin Rivers from here and if so are they ok?

I really want a pair and have just looked on here and they seem about £30 cheaper than they are in my local saddlery, so I am now just wondering why

I have bought stuff from EC before and haven't had any problems with it but am just wondering whether these are too good to be true?!

Also, for Dublin River owners, would you recommend them?

Never had any problems with Equestrian Clearance, but I did get a pair of the Dublin River for Christmas, which after couple of wears broke down in the heel.. took them back to the shop who willingly refunded as they'd had lots of returns. As i understand it, first version of Dublin Rivers had problems with their linings, which they said they'd fixed on second version, but turns out maybe they haven't!
Bought the Malhams from Rydale instead which I like, but people on here also recommended Toggi ones as good.

i too had a pair of River boots in black, within a few days the lining came away from the boots & 6 months later they were leaking

Took mine back to place of purchase & they offered a new pair or exchange, decided in the end i did not want to risk another pair going the same way so bought 2 alternative pairs of boots instead

Did love the look of my dublins tho

i got the original version from Olympia '09' for £85 and have worn them constantly these past 5/6 snowy weeks and only now are they begining to leak a little in one foot. I havnt cleaned them once and have been knee deep in snow in them so not bad really for the money. I also have a pair of Dubarrys that are over 5yrs old and have only just started leaking, have been cleaned a handful of times over the years so sometimes it does work out better if you fork out extra. Overall i am pleased with the rivers as they are ideal for the yard, cant quite afford another pair of Dubarrys just now (paying out for 3 horses on my own at the mo!) so thought these would do for the interim,i wouldnt expect them to last more than 1 or 2 full winters but for the price you cant go wrong
