Does anyone out there with 'fuller figures' struggle with finding attractive, nice fitting clothing? I am finding it virtually impossible to find base layers and riding tops that suit women with bigger busts. They are so fitted and accentuate every curve. I feel so uncomfortable and self-conscious in them. Anything that I buy is usually really boring. I end up living in loose fitting technical t-shirts like the Dublin Pavo top. I wish equestrian brands would think about us and not cater only for the delicate size 8-12s!! It would be great to see some looser fit tops with pretty detailing.

I think theres a UK company called Fuller Fillies? Alternatively, perhaps jusy look at normal clothing, equestrian specific (and equestrian branded) clothing does always seem to have an incredible mark up on it.

I agree but generally just buy non-equestrian tops. They are normally much more sensibly priced and the technology is more up to date with more choice.

For day to day I often wear a cheap cotton t-shirt or polo shirt unless I am doing something that requires a more technical approach like wearing a body protector or for very cold or very hot weather.

I have a few tops from aldi for cooler days, they are a mix of skiing, hiking and cycling gear but are similar in that they have a zip neck, smooth outer and brushed inner so like a fleece but they don't attract horse hair. A bit like the le mieux base layers in style but a thicker fabric. It is worth having a loom at their special buys.

Have a look at go outdoors, cotswold or jo royale for a decent range of outdoor wear from various brands. I have a few really pretty tops from outdoor brands, a mint green t-shirt from mountain headwear, a grey and coral tank style one from paramo and a lilac long sleeved one from smart wool.

What frustrates me is that we are sized out of the market for the snazzy equestrian brands. It's almost like 'slim people need only apply'. Many just don't go up to my size (M&S 16) which makes me feel even worse. Come on snazzy equestrian brands, widen your target market please.

Noble outfitters are generous, I'm a good size 20 and their xls fit nicely. I wear their riding tights and love their sporty tops.

The other go to for me is mountain warehouse.

Expensive but Cavallo suit curvy figures and go up to 18 at least. I buy from an outlet place on facebook when they are reduced.

I got a very flattering show jacket from Fuller Fillies. Beautifully cut.The owner told me that many companies do a design based round say a size 10 to 12 and then just upscale it but it doesn't work as the cut/proportions etc. are all wrong.

Really?? I'll take a look....
They're true to size in the sense that they're not generous - if you're a 16 you will need a 16, but for me anyway they sit nicely and go in and out in the right places. My show breeches are the cajagrip in wheat ie beige and I've had people comment on how nice they are and a t shirt that sits really nicely and is a bit longer so doesn't ride up.
