I am a member of the British Standards Institute's Committee which are working on the new standard for Equestrian Crash Hats/Helmets. We are looking for incidents where a rider has had an accident which involved the perforation or penetration of their crash hat/helmet. i.e such as a collishion with a tree or hitting a fence where part of it penetrated or indented the crash hat/helmet? If you have ever had such an injury please contact me on peter.natt@btinternet.com describing the damage to your crash hat and also if you have any photos of the damaged hat that would be very useful. Many thanks for ay assistance that you can give me.

Do they still test hats on the side of the kerb like they used to I believe?
My friend had an accident where she hit her head on the kerb, she eventually passed away after multiple operations.

My horse reared and deliberately struck a hole in my hat with a hoof while being led Peter, shall I email you about that?
