Will NEW OWNERS, be contacting ALL current insurance policy holders to tell them of changes?????????

I'm wondering the same thing!

Yes, that's what they told me. He said they are waiting for the FSA to approve the wording of the letter, which will be next week, then they will start sending out letters in alphabetical order.

thxs for info

I spoke to Equine First today and apparently they are getting letters out to everyone within 7-10 days..... not long considering that I've been waiting since November I suppose.

Well it is 23 April and still no news ... I sent my claim in for an accident in November 2008 for a broken shoulder on my foal and it was agreed at £5,500 but still nothing. Apparently the new assessors are getting round to things !!

My vets have done a fabulous job, and now they are having to wait to be paid

I've had a nightmare time with Equestrian Direct who have still not paid a small claim since November.

They were incredibly offhand and insulting in the Claims Department throughout and even insisted I get all my horse's previous clinical history (from previous owner) despite the cause being an accident in the field.
I had an awful feeling in my dealings with them that the company were far from reputable.
Their suspicious behaviour compounded the trauma and upset of having an injured horse on box rest and off for 12 months.

The last correspondence I received a few weeks ago was to inform me that they had 'recommended Templeton pay.'

I had no idea of the extent of their problems until reading Horse and Hound this week.
