Hi i know there are a lot of posts already regarding this company but i wanted peoples up to date opinions on equestrian direct ltd. I was looking at their flexiride surface for a 20 x 40 arena, i don't want to waste my money so need to do it right.

We are having turfloat from them, there service so far has been great although we havent had our surface delievered yet as the ground works arent finished. TBH i think its like anything...everyone has their own opinon and in the world you tend to hear more horror stories than good as people dont praise as much as they moan!!

Thank you for the replies I looked at Martin Collins and the Clopf i didnt like that much as it can become quite compact, and i dont think it is suitable for my horses.
sammiea you are right it just depends on opinions etc. i have heard good things about there service. I cant wait to get it sorted :).

hiya we have a turf float school a flexi ride and another rubber and sand school just going down all by equestrian direct never had any issues with them schools always been great. the Flexi ride one is one of the best surfces to ride on a pig to harrow though!

Yes it can compact! Thats why I like it though, my arena is only 20x40 and I jump alot, lose and on the horse so I needed something that wont get deep at all.

They also gave me £60 off a tonne, so making the most of that ;)

Hi, I put 2ins flexi ride on top of 4ins sand. Rides perfect, doesn't blow away and it stops the sand from freezing in the winter too. Wonderful stuff!

The only downside I have found with it, it because it is so 'thermal' the weeds grow much quicker in my school than in my friends, who has rubber shreds on top of sand.

I find it ok to harrow, it does mix a bit with the sand when you harrow it, but a good rain shower sorts it out. I think it washes the sand back down as the sand is heavier than the flexi ride (hope that makes sense). But the worst thing, really, it that it helps weeds to grow as the surface is so warm.

However, perfect to ride on. Have also been bucked straight off between ears of a very naughty horse, and had a perfectly soft landing, so I can vouch for that too!

Hope that helps.

We have flexiride on mothers arena. It's fabulous, never slips, floods or freezes & soft to fall on if your unlucky to fall off!

Jaysh i agree with everything you say I have had flexiride dwon now for a while and with this rain we have had it is still ridable as it hasnt got water logged and i have found it low maintenance. I am very please with at and the sevice I got from Equestrian direct. I would advise anyone to go with them.

We have flexi ride. As others have said, it doesn't freeze etc. only issues I have is that it does blow about and move a bit. Also, poo is impossible to pick out without getting a load stuck to it. We get a lot of weeds as well.
It is very comfy to land on when falling off ;)
